Carbon Negative by 2030Supporting actions: Avoided Deforestation, Workforce Development, Environmental Education,
LinkedIn’s pledge is comprised of commitments and policies that grow and conserve trees. LinkedIn has joined our parent company, Microsoft, in a commitment to become carbon negative by 2030, reducing our operational and supply chain greenhouse gas emissions by over half, removing the equivalent of our remaining emissions, and removing the equivalent of our historical emissions by 2050. Among LinkedIn’s investments for carbon removal are afforestation and reforestation projects that involve planting tens of thousands of trees globally in the first year alone. LinkedIn is also committed to responsible management of our workplace construction, and will replace trees removed during construction for our HQ campus at a 2.5:1 ratio with ecologically appropriate trees, exceeding local municipal requirements.
