At Timberland, we recognize the power of trees to improve the quality of our planet as well as individual well-being. Trees not only feed, shelter and sustain us, they also clean our air, strengthen our communities, and create economic opportunities. That’s why, in September 2019 we made a commitment to plant 50 million trees in five years. To bring this commitment to life, we have partnered with six organizations from around the globe: Tree Aid, Smallholder Farmers Alliance, Trees for the Future, Green Network, Las Lagunas Ecological Park and Justdiggit.
Smallholders Farmers Alliance (Haiti), Green Network (China), TREE AID (Africa), Justdiggit (Africa), Las Lagunas Ecological Park (DR), Trees for the Future (Africa). We are also working with American Forests and Treedom on incremental tree planting efforts, in North America and Africa respectively, that are above and beyond our 50 million trees commitment.

Timberland provides funding and advisory support to our partners who plant/conserve trees on our behalf. Various partners are also working on the program activities noted above including nursery development, data and technological tools, science and technical assistance, tree protection through management, and environmental education for the communities they serve.
Timberland diligently selected experienced partners, all of which collaborate with and aim to benefit the communities in which they plant. We specifically chose partners with programs that plant trees, not only for the many environmental benefits trees provide, but also to create various socio-economic benefits for the communities involved. As such, we trust our partners to practice responsible and equitable forestry through their work.
