Since 2010, Green Assets has been the trusted leader in designing and implementing sustainable conservation projects with a mission to partner with landowners to conserve and bring value to natural resources. Green Assets has led this charge by employing conservation easements and carbon offset projects in over 339,818 acres of U.S. forestland. Additionally, we’ve developed the first Compliance Avoided Conversion Forest Carbon Offset projects in several states. These carbon offset projects will generate over 45 million metric tonnes of CO2e emissions reductions by 2030, and provide the extensive environmental co-benefits of natural climate solutions. An estimated 100 million trees have been preserved and planted.
Green Assets’ uniquely qualified team of industry professionals works to make conservation financially feasible for landowners through carbon offset programs, providing a long-term source of revenue for sustainable conservation activities.
Green Assets pledges to enroll at least one million acres of forestland in conservation easements and carbon offset projects, by 2030. This pledge will provide the continued benefit of carbon sequestration, producing over 204 million tonnes of CO2e emission reductions over the next thirty years. The sustainable management practices employed in these forests will also lead to the planting of native species and healthier habitats for wildlife. Water and soil quality will be enhanced, encouraging long-term ecosystem health and allowing local economies to continue enjoying the benefits provided by these woodlands. Additionally, the social aspects of these projects will continue to produce advantages for local communities through employment, participation, and inclusion.
Green Assets’ focus on climate action centers around forest conservation, preservation, and sustainable management – we are “Landowners working with Landowners”.
Green Assets currently partners with family landowners, as well as non-profit organizations for the land use aspect of carbon credit generation. In turn, these credits are sold to a variety of buyers including non-profit organizations, private corporations, and academic institutions.
