Rheaply Reuse Initiative Pledge
To rise up and overcome the dangers and challenges of climate change, we must revolutionize the circular economy, where our material outputs become the inputs in new or resilient products. In a circular economy, waste doesn’t exist.
At Rheaply, it is our belief that the circular economy cannot exist unless it first becomes a digital revolution, and thus we built technology to optimize and maximize the use of workplace resources by making it easier to share and track underutilized resources between colleagues and across organizations.
Beginning on Earth Day 2021, Rheaply is proud to use our technology in support of the 1 Trillion Tree initiative. As part of our initiative to empower professionals to reuse, Rheaply will pledge to donate 1 tree for every item reused on the platform in 2021 during the following environmental awareness initiatives (through the end of 2021):
Earth Day (4/22/21)
World Environment Day (6/5/21)
Plastic Free July (7/1/21 –7/31/21)
Campus Sustainability Month (10/1/21–10/31-21)
National Reuse Day (10/20)
Why such a strong focus on reuse? In short, when a product is discarded at the end of its life, all the effort and value that went into production – the natural resources, energy, labor, and time – is destroyed along with it. When assets are visible and can freely flow to people who need them the most, the tangible benefits are enormous.

Rheaply’s reuse initiative will engage both existing platform users and the general public to create a groundswell campaign surrounding reuse and the circular economy. This in turn will create community engagement and interest around how the circular economy plays into the regenerative urban lifecycle of trees.
