Global Citizen Live is a 24-hour live event with performances taking place across six continents on September 25, 2021 to unite the world to defend the planet and defeat poverty. As the leading global partnership platform for the trillion trees movement, 1t.org and the 1t.org US chapter are among a select number of featured campaign partners.

Global citizens, historic artists, and leaders from around the world are uniting at Global Citizen Live to defend the planet and defeat poverty. This 24-hour event is a part of Global Citizen’s Recovery Plan for the World campaign, which focuses on COVID-19, ending the hunger crisis, resuming learning for all, protecting the planet; and advancing equity for all.
American Forests co-leads the 1t.org US Chapter alongside the World Economic Forum and is a featured partner to Global Citizen Live. American Forests creates healthy and resilient forests, from cities to wilderness, that deliver essential benefits for climate, people, water and wildlife. They advance this mission through forestry innovation, place-based partnerships to plant and restore forests, and movement building.
The 1t.org US Chapter is a featured partner of Global Citizen Live. The chapter facilitates the leadership of American companies, nonprofits, governments and individuals to help reach the goal of one trillion trees conserved, restored, and grown by 2030.
Trees for Jane is a new grassroots campaign to inspire everyone around the world to help our climate by supporting efforts to stop deforestation, restore lost forests, and when possible, plant one's own tree or trees. Through Trees for Jane, donors can support projects that conserve, restore and grow forests by way of leading forestry organizations.
Public officials from cities and states around the world join Global Citizen Live to commit to reforesting land, planting trees, and cutting emissions to curb global warming - including 1t.org US Chapter community members Commissioner Hilary Franz of Washington State's Department of Natural Resources and Governor David Ige of the state of Hawaii.
