Mobilizing Evangelicals to Reforest our Cities and the World
Restoring God's Creation to Defend the Health of All God's ChildrenSupporting actions: Environmental Education,
The Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN) is a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c) (3) ministry organization that equips, inspires, and mobilizes evangelical Christians to worship God and love their neighbor by caring for creation. Founded in 1993, EEN is the leading evangelical voice in the field of creation care education and advocacy.
The Evangelical Environmental Network pledges to leverage our relationship with the massive evangelical community to educate and mobilize our community on the need to reforest our nation and the world. Through a series of educational tools – from webinars to social to calls for action and our EEN Partners Program (Creation Care educated and supported local church leaders) – we will encourage local congregations, denominations, and evangelical ministries to join with other 1t.org US supporters to equitably increase tree cover in urban and underserved communities to replant disease infected forests in the Eastern United States and wildfire impacted forests in the Western United states; and to protect and replant forests throughout the majority world through our partnerships with evangelical development ministries such as Plant With Purpose and World Hope.
As recognized policy advocates, EEN also pledges to educate and advocate for policies that will promote sound conservation and sustainable utilization, where appropriate within all Federal and State managed lands.
Finally, EEN pledges to plant a minimum of 1,000 trees per year, as well as additional trees to completely offset our carbon footprint.
